One of my New Year’s Resolutions is to buy more handmade loveliness from fellow work at home mums (WAHMs). I’ve been lucky enough to be part of a wonderfully supportive group of WAHMs who have not only provided fantastic business advice, product photography advice, personal support and friendship, but also a LOT of opportunities to buy and swap ALL the gorgeous handmade things! So here are a few of my favourites…
From Crafty Thing I have one of these very handy key fobs; big enough to slip over my wrist when battling to get children in the car, soft enough to not be a nuisance in my pocket or hand bag, and made of wrap scrap fabric which is a lovely reminder of my baby wearing days! I was also asked to test out one of her CSP wallets, which I would definitely recommend as they are so useful, and beautifully made too.
Mrs Billy Bums is a good friend and often sends me pants, amongst other things! These are my particular favourites, simply because the fabric makes me giggle as I can’t decide whether it’s amazing or dreadful. Quite possibly both at the same time; is that possible? Billy Bums also makes wonderfully bright and colourful clothing and undies for children and adults (most of which do not have cats on!). My youngest daughter has 2 play dresses from her and they are so comfy, which is so important for little ones I think. Billy Bums’ tag line is ‘clothing to make you stand out from the crowd’ and it certainly lives up to that!
My youngest daughter also has a play dress from Maisie and the Bear, made from one of my favourite fabrics ever! That dress has been up trees, down slides, through woods, and in muddy puddles and still survives to tell the tale.
This is my eldest daughter’s cat. He’s called Ozzy, and he’s a grumpy thing, but she adores him! We were lucky enough to win this amazing custom made collar from Indi-Dog. Ozzy doesn’t seem particularly bothered about the rainbow-ey gorgeousness he has round his neck, but we think he looks very smart! What do you think?
